Music Producer Club @ Contact Theatre

Taking place from 12-16 August, 12-5pm.

Create Define Release is running an iteration of their Music Producer Club, a week-long project at Contact Theatre open to 12-18 year olds starting in late July. Participants will learn how to produce their own music using industry-standard Ableton software from professional producers. Over the 5 days, participants will learn how to make their own track, with the option of adding their own voices or live instruments to them in the recording studio. They will also have time to talk to the producer educators about their work in the music industry.

On 16 August, there will be a sharing session open to family and friends. Learning music production is a freeing, fun creative outlet in and of itself, but can also support GCSEs or BTECs, and additional pathways into the music careers. At Music Producer Club, they’ll be in a welcoming, supportive environment alongside other young producers from Manchester.

“My son is determined to build a career in the music industry. He struggles with the academic heavy education system and has a lot of worries about the future because of the need for good grades. Music is what keeps him going so we sign him up for everything we can to support him. He is loving the club so far. It has literally reignited his passion for music after a GCSE heavy start to year 11. He spent over an hour last night showing me beats and free styling in the kitchen; I haven’t seen him so happy in ages. Thank you for this incredible opportunity – it means a lot to him. ” – Parent

“I think that’s the first time I’ve actually enjoyed somebody teaching me something.” – Participant

Email christine@createdefinerelease.com with any questions if you would like to sign a young person up! No music experience is required. CDR ask that participants are available for all 5 dates.
